I designed the graphics for Idiom Savant to match the witty and clever mind of my friend Steven Pinsky. When he came up with the idea, I knew he could create a game that would make people think and smile at the same time.
Enjoy my whimsical and retro-style design and I hope it gives the game an extra layer of fun for everyone!
Hi. I’m Steven Pinsky, creator of Idiom Savant.
Thank you for welcoming me into your home.
The English language can be as fun as it is frustrating. Synonyms, double meanings and local vernacular often have us wondering what was just said and more importantly, what was meant by it. Idioms are probably the greatest culprits. An idiom is a common phrase that has a different literal translation from its figurative meaning. For example, the figurative meaning of the Idiom “Hit the Road” is to “get going” or “leave.” This is far different from the literal translation of “punch the pavement.” Enough to make you Blow a gasket.
Idiom Savant is a fun and creative game in which the contestants need to figure out the idiom from a series of clues starting with literal translations and ending with the figurative meaning.
Enough of the small talk.
So let's get this party started!!!!!
